Mission of the Montesano Police Department
Through citizen partnerships and problem solving, we will help build a stronger, more self sufficient community- a community in which crime and disorder will not thrive.
About the Montesano Police Department
The Montesano Police Department consists of the Chief of Police, one Lieutenant, six patrol officers, an evidence custodian, explorer and reserve officer post, a parking enforcement officer, and one police clerk.  The patrol officers and the police clerk are union-represented, civil service-tested positions.

Our department is committed to community-oriented policing, which we implement with programs such as crime prevention, vacation check, and bike patrol.

The Montesano Police Department remains on the leading edge of technology and is committed to keeping its officers up-to-date with the most current equipment and training.  All officers are issued take-home patrol cars if they live in or near Montesano.
